Quenching: If the purchased materials cannot meet the ideal standard, then the steel must be quenched to strengthen its strength and resilience.

Knurling: When the pattern is rolled out on the surface of the stick, the friction is increased, this creates greater stability. In addition, it can help the athletes to exert their power more easily and reduce the injury rate.

Types of Plating

Chrome VS Zinc: Chrome can improve the surface hardness, is beautiful and rust resistant. Zinc has good chemical stability. Zinc is an active metal and easily reacts with the acid, so its corrodes easily.

Chrome VS Electrophoresis: The surface of electrophoresis is non - metallic, environmentally friendly with a better hand feeling, but is a more delicate barbell. On the contrary with chrome plating, the plating surface is a metal coating for durability.

Chrome VS Black oxidation: Oxidation is the formation of an oxide film on the surface through chemical reactions. Its corrosion resistance is not as good as electroplating, but it can produce different colors.

Bearing Structure

There are generally two types of bearings for the structure of Olympic barbell bars: Needle bearings and Ball bearings. The low-end Olympic barbells basically have no bearings and are fixed by a roller, thus saving the process cost, as a result, wrist injuries are common when lifting with these barbells. The most common is technique is needle bearing structure. The number of needle bearings can vary (2,4,6,8,10). The more bearings, the better the rolling effect are with the equipment.
